Senior Project Week 3

-On Sunday some less experienced workers were distributing the frozen load during my lunch. The store which also made it hard and when I got back downstairs there was a lot of work to do. As soon as I began I worked as hard and as fast as I could while also keeping the process organized. My manager congratulated me saying that my hard work had rubbed off on the other workers helping with the frozen.

-This week I learned that working hard can make a process easier because it will inspire others to work harder/ the way you work will inspire others. Also in conversation with Adam Simon, I learned that spacing art pieces when presented lets the viewer focus on their art. We also discussed how making art can be very discouraging when we don't like what we make but that we are always learning. It is important not to get down on one's self. I think that Sasha is a big inspiration there. I did stay consistent with my workouts however which has felt very good. I also made cheesy spinach and beef pasta, burgers with caramelized onions and homemade pizza with fig jam this week. The cooking has been going well:)
- I worked for 27 hours this week which was a lot more than the previous ones; because of this, I started to slip in my other goals. I continued to drink more water but didn't do a great job of keeping track. I continued to spend more time in my journal but in an inconsistent manner which I would like to change. I also didn't study mandarin as much as I would have liked. Any strategies for sticking to goals? I might have already asked that:)

  1. I like how you have goals that are helping you along personally as well as doing your tiring job. You are super fast grocery bagger! I was impressed how you did 2 customers at one time when I came by. It is great to hear. how you are having a positive impact on your working environment.

  2. I agree with Traci, Miles--sometimes we can encourage others just by the way we move in the world. I find it easiest to stick to goals if I keep them really simple and have a built in way to check in on them--a timer on my phone to prompt me, for example!
